The 2026–2027 Comirnaty (Pfizer COVID-19 Vaccine) updated formula targets the XFG variant, a descendant of the JN.1 lineage, to better match the strains circulating this season. Built on the proven mRNA platform, it does not contain live virus and cannot cause COVID-19.
